Surrounded by lush nature and like-hearted souls, you will be only a 3-minute walk from the beach. Our oasis will be an eco-conscious permaculture retreat center so you can enjoy travel sustainably. Nature is reflected in every detail: from our earth domes that honor Mother Earth, to 'El Sky' elevated among the trees, 'Las Nubes' with panoramic views, and 'La Parota' built from parota wood; with bunk beds in the shade of the palm trees.
Whether you are seeking restoration, inspiration, deeper connection, or simply the opportunity to pause and breathe, Sun + Soul offers a sanctuary where evolution occurs naturally. ❋ All Inclusive MealsExplore Lagunas de Chacahua National Park. Take a boat tour and learn about the importance of mangroves, different birds, and the Afro-Mexican community living within the reserve. Spend the afternoon on an island where the lagoon and the sea meet. Eat local fish and seafood. On the return trip, swim in bioluminescence.

This is a private room on the first floor of El Sky with a queen bed and AC in the unit. This room shares a bathroom with a dry (pee only) toilet and an outdoor shower. There is a compostable (number 2) toilet a short walk away. An option to add a guest to your room is available.
Located on the second floor of El Sky, this room includes two full-size beds, making it a great option for friends or someone looking to make a new friend right away! The shared bathroom has an outdoor shower and a pee-only toilet. The shared composting toilet (number 2) is 15M from the house. An option to add a guest to your room is available.
This is a private suite with a king bed and a private bathroom. The bathroom includes an indoor shower and a flushable toilet. An option to add a guest to your room is available.
This jungle cabin gives a rustic and natural feel. It's closed in with mosquito screen, has an outdoor shower, unisex urinal (pee only), and composting toilet is a short walk.
Queen bed equipped with a kitchenette and fridge. Private outdoors shower and pee toilet in the room, and 15m to the shared composting toilet. An option to add a guest to your room is available.
Eco Dome has 2 queen beds -one on the ground floor and one up in the loft. Please be aware that you must be able to climb a ladder when booking this room. This room has a shared bathroom with a shower and dry toilet (pee-only) with a compostable toilet a few minute walk away. An option to add a guest to your room is available. The bed assignment will be decided amongst the guests upon arrival.

At our ecological permaculture resort, every system is designed with intention—to work in harmony with nature rather than against it. Dry toilets are pee-only, and composting toilets are in an outhouse a short walk from your room. They do not smell and return essential nutrients to the Earth.

Fly into Puerto Escondido Airport, and we will arrange transfers to and from the retreat center for you. Please note that the retreat center is a 45-minute drive from the airport, so please consider this when booking your flights.
