Heart Chakra Flow

The Heart Chakra, or Anahata in Sanskrit, is the fourth energy center in the body’s chakra system, located at the center of the chest. It’s associated with love, compassion, connection, forgiveness, and emotional balance — both in how we relate to others and how we care for ourselves. When this chakra is open and balanced, we feel emotionally connected, open-hearted, and able to give and receive love freely. When blocked, it can lead to feelings of isolation, resentment, grief, or difficulty trusting others.

Heart-opening stretches and movements — such as chest openers, backbends, and shoulder releases — help to physically and energetically soften this area. These poses not only release stored tension in the chest and shoulders but also support emotional healing and create space for vulnerability, joy, and deeper connection.

Practicing heart chakra opening regularly can bring a greater sense of inner peace, emotional resilience, and the ability to live from a place of love and authenticity.
